The New Asus Zenbook NX500 Is Really Expensive, But Might Actually Be Worth It

The new Asus Zenbook NX500 might be ridiculously expensive, but it does come with some pretty cool features. This might be hard to believe from a brand that made their name by selling really affordable netbooks, but it’s true.

For starters, the display is a 15.6 inch 4k touchscreen that is based on quantum dots. You probably don’t know what that is, but it already sounds expensive. Let’s just say that its probably one of the best looking displays that you are ever going to find on a laptop right now. This 4K screen displays images at a 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution which is 4 times better than a regular high definition display. Asus is also the only company right now to put out a 4K display with quantum dots.

Under the hood of the NX500 there is a powerful Intel Core i7 CPU and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 850M graphics processor. This means that you can pretty much do whatever you want on that laptop and it will be able to handle it. It can also support multiple solid state drives in PCI-Express 3.0 and SATA slots. It has SonicMaster Premium speakers as well, because why wouldn’t it? They already made everything else awesome, it might as well sound awesome too.

Next month is going to be a pretty big month for Asus. They have a lot of cool new devices that will be shipping out. The Zenbook NX500 though, is the highlight here. Asus has never put out anything as high end as this. Not only is it going to be interesting to see how people react to it and how it does on the market, but I’m also actually really excited to see one in real life and try it out for myself. The price might sound a little crazy, but it might actually have the chops to back it up.
