Dell has just recently made available for purchase in the United States the Dell Latitude XT3 convertible business-class laptop. The Latitude XT3 is a laptop/tablet computer that comes with a 13.3″ touch screen display, second generation Intel Core processors and Windows 7.
Succeeding the 12″ Latitude XT2, the Latitude XT3 comes with a 1366 x 768 swivel display that supports multi-touch inputs as well as stylus/pen inputs. The screen comes in both “Daylight Viewable” and “Reduced Glare” variations with automatic brightness adjustment. In addition to that, Dell gives you a choice between the standard-voltage Core i3 2310M, Core i5 2520M or Core i7 2620M dual core processors.
The Latitude XT3 comes with integrated Intel HD 3000 series graphics and has up to 320GB of hard drive space. If that isn’t enough for you, you can also opt for an optional solid state drive in up to a 256GB variant and up to 8GB of RAM.
Battery-wise the Latitude XT3 comes with your standard 6-cell 44Wh Lithium-Ion battery, though you can opt for an extended 9-cell 76Wh battery if you need more time on a single charge. As far as materials go, the XT3 has magnesium alloy reinforcements behind each corner and meets MIL-STD-810G military standards. The keyboard is also spill resistant.
Other features of note include keyboard backlighting, 3G capabilities and WiMAX connectivity options, an optional webcam, HDMI support, advanced security features and optional Intel vPro system management technology.
The Dell Latitude XT3 convertible tablet/laptop is available now through Dell’s online store for a starting price of $1,789. If you want to buy one in store, you are going to have to wait until the device ships on September 22.
