Laptops are nice and all, especially in terms of portability. However, if you’re like me, you probably get uncomfortable using your laptop in the way it was originally intended, on your lap. When I’m on my laptop I am on it for an extended period of time and the heat generated by using for so long really makes me hot and uncomfortable. Thankfully, solutions to my problem have come in the form of lapdesks that allow me to use my laptop on my lap without being uncomfortable.
One such lapdesk is the new Logitech Touch Lapdesk N600 from Logitech. The Touch Lapdesk N600 features a large touchpad that makes it easier than ever to point, scroll and swipe in order to navigate through the internet. The lapdesk looks like your standard laptop holder but the addition of a fully functional touchpad is something completely new.
According to Logitech’s Vice President of Product Marketing for Laptop Accessories Denis Pavillard, “We’ve seen people using everything from pillows to pets to shield their laptops from the heat their laptops generate. Our lapdesks are much more effective and, with the addition of a multi-touch touchpad, you’ll get the added capability to more easily move through your favorite content without attaching additional peripherals.”
The Touch Lapdesk N600 features a 5-inch, retractable touchpad complete with multi-touch navigation. You can also move the pointer with one finger, scroll using two fingers and swipe through pages, pictures or other things with three.
The lapdesk also comes with a multi-layer, heat-shielding design that protects you from the heat generated by your laptop. The anti-slip surface also keeps your laptop in place. All you have to do is plug the small Logitech Unifying receiver into the USB port and start navigating.
The Logitech Touch Lapdesk N600 should be available soon for an estimated $69.99 retail price.
