HP has recently released a laptop which may be one of the most impressive laptops on the market. Coming in at a meager 2.45 lbs., the HP Spectre is not the lightest laptop available, but it is the thinnest at 0.41” thick. The design of the laptop itself is also impressive. The laptop’s screen is not connected to the back edge like traditional laptops, instead the Spectre’s screen is connected to the base by two gold hinges on either side of the laptop’s base. The sleek look of the Spectre combined with its black and gold color design makes the Spectre something to behold. TheRead More →

Unless you pay them the amount of money they are asking for, your computer is absolutely useless, and your information isRead More →

Toshiba has released its ultra-high-res laptop the KIRAbook. The Toshiba KIRAbook is for the most part a decent ultrabook. There is no other screen like it in the Windows 8 market. It is thin and light, weighing just  3 pounds.  Toshiba claims the magnesium alloy casing is 90% stronger than the aluminum case of the Macbook Air.  The screen contains 3.7 million pixels. Unfortunately the KIRAbook has a smaller keyboard, and the track pad is less responsive than the Macbook Air. It appears Toshiba is attempting to outdo the Macbook air, but there is a lot to be left wanting. Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-3537U Processor,Read More →

AMD is planning on offering better prices on these devices compared to the products released by Apple and other companies, which will subsequently start a price war in the world of ultra-thin, ultra-portable notebook computers. AMD is currently looking at a price of around $500, theRead More →

The race to have the most popular ultraportable laptop is definitely heating up, especially since HP reportedly let slip that the company is expecting to be the first to launch laptops based on Intel’s new Ultrabook category of slim, affordable laptops that should provide Windows fans a worthwhile alternative to Apple’s MacBook Air. According to DigiTimes, HP will be launching no less than two Ultrabook models in the coming months ahead of the UX21 from Asus, which isn’t supposed to debut until September and the laptop Intel used to announce the new category back in May.
