In a surprising turn of events, Lenovo has released official pricing information on its ThinkPad Tablet 2, the same tablet that is expected to be running Windows 8 Pro. Lenovo has officially unveiled its updated 2012 line of ThinkPads with updates to the company’ T, L, W and X series. Each of these updated ThinkPads come with Intel Ivy Bridge processors as well as the new Precision keyboard as opposed to the classic ones, marking two of the more important changes to the line. Lenovo recently announced a slew of new ThinkPads that are said to have Intel’s latest third-generation Core processors, including a ThinkPad ultrabook that Lenovo is touting as the “thinnest ultrabook in the world”. Known as the ThinkPad X1 Carbon ultrabook, this device has a 14″ screen, weighs less than 3.9lbs and is only 0.74in thick. Lenovo is releasing a new ThinkPad laptop soon known as the ThinkPad X120e. The X120e is a new business class ultraportable laptop that features an 11.6″ screen, a low power AMD processor and Radeon HD graphics. Lenovo notebooks are just flying off the shelves this quarter. Lenovo’s report for their second fiscal quarter states that there has been substantial growth in the sales of their PCs, allowing them to have a small profit increase and a large revenue increase. The company reported $5.8 billion in consolidated sales, a 41 percent year-over-year increase, and a profit of $77 million, which is a 45 percent increase from the same period in 2009.
